Mortise and tenon joinery throughout. For safety reasons, the upper and lower bunks cannot be separated. Headroom between lower and upper bunks is approximately 44 inches. Headboard and footboard feature a built in ladder. Maximum mattress thickness for top bunk is 8" Careful assembly by hand ensures the bed will last a lifetime.
